How we Started

Krazy Kei Imports started as a personal endeavor to source Kei Trucks from Japan. One thing led to another and we went about sharing our passion for these vehicles with others. As we like to say, Small in Size... Big on Adventure! That said, we are now Wisconsin's Largest Kei Vehicle Dealer!

Since 1949, KEI has been a classification of Japanese vehicles that are less than 660 CC's of engine displacement and have dimensions less than 11.2 Feet long by 4.9 Feet wide.

Most states allow Kei vehicles to be titled and registered for use on public roadways as long as they are 25 years old or older. We highly recommend checking your states laws and regulations regarding kei vehicles before purchasing as we sell them strictly for off-road use only. Feel free to reach out with any questions pertaining to registration as we are happy to help!

Since Kei vehicles are so versatile, many of our customers use them in a variety of different ways such as service vehicles, in landscaping applications, easy to get around city vehicles, as UTV's and so much more! Some even use them as daily drivers to take advantage of low insurance rates and excellent fuel economy.

One benefit to Kei ownership is how simple they are to work on! Most have very similar power plants and parts are readily available to ship from Japan in a timely manner. In our experience if you do not want to work on them yourself, most motorcycle shops will work on them due to their simplicity and similarities with motorcycle engines. One other benefit is they are designed to last over 200,000 Kilometers and are very reliable, more so even than your typical modern UTV's. At Krazy Kei Imports, we provide door delivery for any kei trucks, kei vans, or kei cars purchased from one or our locations across Wisconsin. We have our own dedicated truck and trailer and can deliver anywhere in the U.S. for a flat fee of $3.50 per mile.
